Jakarta — After being released in the country, the New Honda CR-V experienced sales growth in February 2021. PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) claims that consumer interest in its latest SUV is quite large.

In addition to the Honda CR-V 2021 facelift, Honda’s sales in February were also supported by the Honda Brio, which is still the backbone of sales in the country. Sales of the New Honda CR-V in last February were recorded at 683 units.

The score increased 21 percent, when compared to the previous month. As is known, on February 18, Honda has introduced the latest model of the Honda CR-V baru which features various changes in the appearance of the exterior and interior, as well as a series of advanced features such as Honda Sensing, Remote Engine Start, and Hands-Free Access Power Tailgate. Since its launch until the time this news was written, the number of orders for the Honda CR-V has reached 1,120 units.

Sales of CR-V Facelift Drive Honda Sales

Meanwhile, the biggest sales for Honda in February came from Honda Brio, with sales of 3,361 units, or 56% of Honda’s total sales. Throughout February 2021, Honda Brio Satya achieved sales of 2,665 units, leading the LCGC segment with a market share of 28%. Meanwhile,

Honda Brio RS collected sales of 696 units, also being the market leader in the City Car segment with a market share of 75%. Besides the Honda Brio, another model that contributed significantly to Honda’s sales was the Honda HR-V 1.5 L which sold 686 units, with a market share of 15% in its class. Then followed by the Honda Jazz with sales of 606 units and became the market leader in the hatchback segment with a market share of 38%.

Meanwhile, Honda Mobilio has managed to record sales of 290 units, 162 units of Honda HR-V 1.8 L, 90 units of Honda BR-V, 73 units of Honda Civic Hatchback, and 3 units of Honda Odyssey. In the sedan segment, the Honda Civic Sedan achieved sales of 33 units, leading the market share of 51%. Then followed by 18 units of the Honda City Sedan, and 13 units of the Honda Accord.

In total, Honda has managed to record sales of 6,018 units in retail throughout February 2021. Yusak Billy as Business Innovation and Marketing & Sales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor said, “In general, Honda’s sales in February fell slightly compared to January because some consumers were delaying purchases to wait for the tax relaxation to be enforced in early March”.

According to Billy, the launch of the new model New Honda CR-V which has received very good enthusiasm from consumers, and the sales performance of Honda Brio which is still quite good have supported Honda’s sales last month. “We are optimistic that sales in March will increase because it is supported by the implementation of the PPnBM tax relaxation and new Honda models which have shown a very good booking trend,” he concluded.
